Cross-Generational Magic

Ben's journey into children's books began in COVID-19, when he needed a way to connect his grandmother, Gigi (a retired writing teacher), with his new baby from afar.

Since then, he has written over 30 vastly different picture books with that same consistent theme: everyone, of every age, should have something to learn, love, or laugh about.

His stories are filled with humor, heart, and self-discovery. They include unexpected wordplay, interwoven games, cross-generational humor, and subtle (or not-so-subtle) tips and tricks about life.

No two concepts are the same; to reach every reader, his stories are as varied as the readers who enjoy them.

Independent spirit, collaborative reach

His author journey began with Younger Me Academy as an independent family project from the kitchen table, and snowballed down a mountain from there.

Younger Me Academy became one of the largest crowdfunding campaigns in children's book history, and was followed by Mythical Feasts with Dinos Love Donuts, which became one of the bestselling children's books in the world, and his early portfolio was rounded out with the award-winning, critically-acclaimed King Chameleon series.

Now he's partnering closely with major publishers like Penguin Random House and Sourcebooks to help even more readers access his books, but he retains his strong spirit for independent press...he works closely with his illustrators at every turn, designs, experiments with every syllable and design decision, and tests every idea with readers.

Oops! Author, by accident. (Kind of.)

Ben became an author by accident, but all of his books are designed with intention.

His background is in innovation, strategy, and product design with companies like Google, Bain & Co., and Starwood Hotels and degrees from Cornell University (School of Hotel Administration) and the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton).

He brings a unique analytical method to the design of his children's books, and crafts each one with the same techniques used to develop the products you love to use every day.

The second best job in the world

There's only one job in the world better than being a children's book author, and Ben has that one too. He's the dad to two rambuctious boys and husband to an amazing wife. You can find them causing mayhem anywhere they think of as home, including the Southwest Connecticut / New York City area; Birmingham, AL; Boston, MA; and Washington, D.C.
